victorian college of the arts
As part of my year abroad at the University of Melbourne, I studied Graphic Design at the Victorian College of the Arts, one of the top art schools in Australia. Here I had the opportunity to learn and apply a variety of design and fine art concepts, producing high-level work and achieving straight H1 or H2A grades, equivalent to a high 2:1 or 1st in the UK. Alongside my more traditional academic study of History and Art History, I have a solid basis in design at university level.
See below 3 examples from my time at VCA.
Rijksmuseum Rebrand
This project was to rebrand the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam, the national museum of The Netherlands. See the redesigned logo as well as a mockup of a series of 3 posters, plus a merchandise application.
For Change Co. Rebrand
This project involved a rebrand of a charity. I chose For Change Co. - a local social enterprise aiming to break the homelessness cycle for young people by employing them at their cafe and catering locations.
Record Design
In this project I designed a record cover and associated materials for the Potpourri Lake album by Teenage Dads, an Australian indie brand. All designs include lino prints handmade by myself.
