At Naski Sports I work across content creation, retail and the ski workshop in a small two-person team. The role sits between marketing, product knowledge and customer experience, translating technical ski equipment into engaging digital content whilst working directly with the people who use it.
I create short-form social media content designed to make specialist ski gear approachable and engaging for a UK audience. From concept to filming, editing and caption writing, I produce reels and posts that highlight product performance, explain equipment features and capture the energy of ski culture. Working closely with the shop owner allows ideas to move quickly from concept to publication, creating content that responds to seasonal moments, new stock and in-store conversations.
Because I also work on the shop floor, the content is grounded in real customer questions. Helping skiers, from first-time buyers to experienced riders, choose equipment provides direct insight into what people actually want to know about skis, boots and gear and these interactions frequently shape the ideas behind new posts and videos. Alongside retail and marketing, I support the workshop with ski tuning, repairs and equipment set-up, giving me a deeper understanding of the products I’m featuring and allowing me to communicate their performance more clearly and confidently in content.
As the shop’s first employee and a keyholder, I help manage day-to-day operations and contribute to the shop’s brand voice across digital and physical spaces, almost doubling our follower count and reaching up to 180k views.
The role has shown me how content, expertise and community intersect in independent retail and how good storytelling can make specialist products feel accessible and exciting.
